Romney neglects secular faith Mitt Romney urges tolerance of religions ...

He has no values or principles except to pander to whoever he thinks will get him elected. He pandered to the centrists in Mass. and won the governorship. I think if he had kept with that strategy he might have had a chance at the presidency. Now the only folks who are gonna vote for him are Mormans and right-wing one issue bigots. Yeah they vote in higher %'s, but won't be enough to counter a national electorate that is leaning leftist/centrist.Oh well, plus Mitt employs illegals, just got busted a second time..

Laos native migrates to United States and fuels his love for tennis

Greeley's Meng Manichanh may be 56 years old, but he moves around the tennis court with the ease of someone half his age.

Nobody knows that better than Greeley's Jeff Lejeune, his opponent Sunday at the Greeley Tennis Championships. The 33-year-old saw Manichanh run down nearly every ball and make seemingly every shot in his 6-0, 6-1 victory against Lejeune in the men's 3.5 singles quarterfinal round at Centennial Tennis Courts.

It was difficult on the weary legs of Lejeune, who had to be up before 3 a.m. the previous two days to work his job stocking shelves for the Frito-Lay potato chip company.

He didn't get to bed until 10 p.m. Saturday night and was up at 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning working before his match at 8 a.m.

"I meant to ask (Manichanh) yesterday if we could back the match up to 11 a.m.

Online colonel seemed like a catch

Wendy McKay thought she had met someone special when the Marine colonel deployed to Iraq started chatting with her on the online dating Web site.

Someone claiming to be Col. Richard Bartch told her he was in Iraq for the first time after volunteering for duty. And like her, he was divorced. Chats quickly led to e-mails and within a day he sent her photos of himself in uniform.

In one, he stood in his woodland digital-patterned utilities, proudly holding up his Bronze Star citation and medal. In another, he's lounging in desert cammies in a chair, with his service pistol holster pulled taut across his broad shoulders just next to his name tape.

His e-mails were romantic, echoing the sentiment of a schmaltzy Hallmark greeting card: "I went to sleep last night with a smile because I knew I'd be dreaming of you ...

Souter's cash took SNP to victory

The fears and smears about independence are insulting to both the intelligence and self-respect of Scots. We are a distinct society and ancient European nation who have a right to self-determination, and I believe we can become a great nation again."

"As long as I can remember, the case for the Union has been financed by cash from London and, indeed, from elsewhere, whilst the case for independence has lacked resources. I hope my donation of £500,000 will help redress this imbalance."

Above is the text of Brian Souter's letter to the SNP about his donation. Alex Salmond read this out to the Special SNP Conference held in Glasgow Science Centre and there was a stunned silence before wild applause, cheering, hugging and tears from the activists. It was confirmation of something they knew in their hearts: that this time things were going to be different and that a Party which wanted the best for Scotland was finally in with a shout of winning, despite the hostile press, the London money and the influence of the Trade Unions.

Dangers of smoking around babies highlighted

My Mum and Dad and Grandparents all smoked around us when we were kids and we all survived and have grown up with no ill-health. Just another thing for the namby pamby PC state to latch on to. It's no wonder people are so ill these days, with all this don't eat that and don't drink this etc. etc. people don't get a chance to build up a resistance to anything. Anybody ever hear of nut allergies 30 years ago? .

Paris in the City of Brotherly Love

Paris Hilton headed to a mall in Philadelphia yesterday to do some promotional work for her upcoming movie The Hottie and the Nottie. She played with one of our favorite toys, the fabulous Flip camcorder while she chatted it up with local radio stations. Paris also met lots of screaming fans, and when asked about her appeal, she said, "I think maybe it's because I'm real. People can relate to me. They see things that have happened in my life. And that I'm sweet. I feel that when you truly are a good person, it will shine through in your eyes - shine through from your heart to your eyes - and people will see that. Princess Diana, who I love, she had that."

Somehow, "real" isn't the first word that comes to mind when we think of Paris, but we do give her credit for heading to the mall to meet fans instead of hitting the stores.

Obama campaign reports $32-million infusion

On the Republican side, the leading candidates were recovering from a contentious debate Wednesday night. Former Massachustetts Gov. Mitt Romney campaigned in a wide swath from Long Beach to an evening rally scheduled in San Diego.

Arizona Sen. John McCain campaigned in Los Angeles and picked up the endorsement of Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Schwarzenegger had signaled on Wednesday that he would back McCain, so there was little suspense in today's formal announcement at a solar energy business in Los Angeles.

Also attending today's news conference was former New York City Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, who formally dropped out of the presidential race on Wednesday after he was trounced in the Florida primary.

In a year-end filing with the Federal Election Commission, Giuliani disclosed that he had raised $58.5 million and had spent $48.8 million in 2007.
