| Text driver guilty of causing death of cyclist
As a friend of Jordan's family, I would just like to say I am glad to see justice is being dealt out. Too many people get away with murder these days! Yes, Jordan was wrong to ride through red lights but, she was totally out of line to be texting and speeding. Considering the fact that she already had speeding tickets under her belt, she deserves to be punished. I hope she has learnt her lesson and doesn't abuse the speed limits and law ever again. Will she have her licence taken away? Nothing will bring Jordan back and my heartfelt sympathy is with his family. They have to live with the loss of their son for the rest of their lives. She has to live with the guilt of killing someone. .

Kvetching Around the Christmas Tree: Her Side
Howard and I debate everything: What to do with our precious free time, the politics of why our laundry shouldn't intermingle and why it's probably best that I stop explaining to his young daughters the joy of shopping at Tiffany's. But the friendly debate has turned to arguing over having a Christmas tree. And I'm not very happy about it. After several years of dating, we recently moved in together. He's Jewish, I'm not. Our combative natures might be what has kept our relationship incredibly passionate, until now. By the time a couple has advanced to the point of living together, your partner should know you well enough not expect the impossible. I will not overnight become Jewish, believe in God (or G-d, whatever), and I will not sacrifice my family's tradition of putting up a Christmas tree every year.
The End Of The Wag: Wave Goodbye To Coleen And Gemma
“WAVE GOODBYE TO WAGS," commands the Star. You'd best stand on a stool or bed and lean out of a window because the Wags are overseas. Goodbye, Coleen McLoughlin, says the Mail, waving so hard that Wayne Rooney's whale-voiced lover turns her head to the side and looks out across the Caribbean seas. Coleen is in Barbados. It's front-page news in the Express. This is Coleen's “new look". It's much like her old one, albeit in a leopard-print and not accessorised by a freckled man with sunburn. Goodbye, Gemma Atkinson, who is said to be dating a footballer called Mr Bent. She's in a bikini. Wags are so out of fashion, notes the Star, that now only “one in 100 dream of being like sexy Gemma Atkinson… and teaming up with footie stars".

Yoko Ono: Considering they hate each other, this would be the match from hell. But wouldn't it be funny if their years of animosity stemmed from the fact that they secretly had crushes on one another? Hey, anything's possible. Rentlo to set up in South Australia
RR Australia will establish a Rentlo presence in Adelaide on the back of strong predictions for the current financial year. The company trades as Radio Rentals in the eastern States - and is a separate company to major South Australian electrical goods retailer Radio Rentals. RR Australia said it is on track to meet its forecast of a 50 per cent rise in net profit, following strong trading in the December quarter. "The company is well positioned to produce a solid full year result, which is consistent with analyst expectations, being around $10 million after tax, some 50 per cent above the 2006/07 year,'' RR Australia said. This profit provides scope for strategic development during the 2008-09 financial year, including plans to establish a South Australian store at Elizabeth which will trade under the "Rentlo'' brand.

If it ain't sunny take the sunglasses off your face; we don't care if they complete your outfit. Sunglasses on cloudy days = only acceptable on Stevie Wonder. And for the love of humanity, keep your spritzes of Fierce to a one-spray minimum. Nobody likes walking down the street behind Mr. Abercrombie. MUSIC There are things that should have died with 2007, and Ingrid Michaelson/Sara Bareilles are two of them. If your fave song was featured prominently in a) an Old Navy commercial or b) "Grey's Anatomy," then it's time to turn it in. Valentine's Day is O-V-E-R. MOVIES The official "Sex and the City" trailer has leaked, and though we're die-hard fans of the HBO trifle, there's just something unsettling about its return. Coleman: Come and get me!
CHRIS Coleman has shot to the front of the queue to become George Burley's successor at Saints. The former Fulham and Real Sociedad boss, who quit his post in Spain last week amid rumours he was to join Newcastle as Kevin Keegan's number two, has instead issued a "come and get me" plea to the Saints board. Coleman's agent Alan Smith - the former Crystal Palace manager - said: "Of course Chris will be interested. It's a good club and has a fantastic new stadium now. "Probably through nobody's fault, the club's under achieved a little bit but, for someone like Chris, with his enthusiasm, passion and freshness - and with what he has learned in Spain - it could be a good job. "In fairness, Southampton have only just settled the compensation package for George Burley and there is a bit of respect.
